Message From Dae Dae
Many people know me as DAE DAE, the rap artist—but first and foremost, I am a father and a committed member of my community. Recently, I experienced every parent’s worst nightmare: the loss of my child. While I continue to grieve, I have chosen to honor my son’s life by taking action and helping other young people find positive, life-changing outlets through music and mentorship.
With deep purpose and love, I present the Dae Dae, Jr. Legacy Music Scholarship Tour, created in honor and memory of my son. He was an aspiring young musician, just like so many of the students we mentor—young people filled with promise, creativity, and dreams. My mission is to turn pain into purpose by uplifting young artists and giving them the support they need to musically grow.
